Wardrobe Mistress - Volunteer

Emily Wright

My experience with STAMP began in 2006 as a member of the green group and has been a part of my life ever since. I was inspired by my time at STAMP to study Musical Theatre at Newcastle College at degree level, from this I have discovered a deeper understanding and love for the art of Musical Theatre and particularly the role that costume and props play in making a show.

I began my role as Wardrobe Mistress in 2015 with our production of The Wedding Singer, since then I have supplied and created props and costumes for each of our shows and I strive to create an excellent visual for each and every cast member, and of course for every audience.

As a member of STAMP I have had the pleasure of being part of amazing shows and have been a part of the cast in main roles such as Cinderella, Lucy in 13 The Musical, Linda in The Wedding Singer and Vivian in Legally Blonde. I am also thrilled to still be an ongoing member in many of our other variety shows, and contributing to the overall production of the performances.

I also work for the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation as a health advisor to 111 and 999 calls; I have been fully trained in safeguarding and first aid training and also apply these skills to my role in STAMP to continue the development of the organisation.
