The Purple Group is relatively new department of STAMP; led by our Director of Music, Rhys Chambers. Rhys studied Music BA (hons) at Durham University and is now ready to pass on his skills and knowledge to others. The tuition service is dedicated to offering high-quality instrumental and theoretical tuition at competitive prices.

The Purple Group is open to pupils of all ages and skill levels. Lessons are either half-an-hour or an hour long and comprise of: Basic Music Theory, Instrumental Maintenance, Practice Technique as well as personalised feedback for specific repertoire. Tuition is available for any genre of repertoire: from Classical to Pop; from Musical Theatre to Jazz & Blues.

All students must provide their own instruments and guidance on purchasing instruments can be given by our music tutor upon request. Our main tuition takes place a Brinkburn CIO in South Shields, however, home tuition is also available upon request.
